Hensen

Big day!!!

We took His Nibs for walkies at Kenna-Cartwright park. I carried him up the hill, til we got past the muddy section. Set him down, handed the leash to Mike and walked away. Henn quivered...and quivered... Then, after a long minute (I'm still walking away and calling), he suddenly sniffed the ground, and slowly walked toward me! Hooray!

We didn't go very far - it was starting to rain and it was quite mucky - nor did we want to do too much day one - and he needs a jacket. On the way down the hill, we met an older Lab and his person. But Henn did GREAT on the way down - I think he'd been trained to walk on a leash by whomever gave him up. Right at my heel most of the way.

It was a GOOD day today.

PS: We weighed him yesterday and he was 9.2 lbs.

Here are photos of Henson's first walkies in Kamloops (he's wearing Lucy's harness):

In his "den" with Hippo, Max the Rottie, Puppy, Odi, his Kong, and his bone... he knows all their names too :) We have to "crate" him if we're both out at the same time - he just can't stand it.
