Jamie Fraser (previously Cubby)
Dear Beth,Thank you, Beth, for finding me my happily-ever-after home! I just couldn’t have done it without you!
As you know, I was picked up as a stray so I guess I’m what they call an escape artist. Me, I think I’m just being adventurous!
I also used to like to jump up on people....I didn’t understand why that seemed to annoy them. Hey, I just wanted to give them a hug while I make eye contact and say hello!
It’s taken me a year and a half to get my new mom and dad to trust me and not have to tie me up (which they hated doing, but I gave them no choice...they said I would have gotten hurt or in trouble otherwise). But now that I’ve been given more freedom, I stay home...well, mostly ...and don’t care if I jump up on my new friends any more.
They say I still can’t be trusted off-leash on our daily walks until I come when they call me...guess I need to work on that. But mom and dad love me anyway – good thing they’re patient! -- and are hopeful that it won’t be long before they can trust me completely...hey, I’m still young and have my own agenda!
I love my big brother Laddy (Border Collie)...he’s a good guy and we have lots of fun together, especially playing at the beach. I love to drive him nuts (isn’t that what little brothers do best?) when I chase the penlight in the house...I think Laddy thinks that’s a dumb thing to do, and hits the biscuit box big time to help ease his OCD stress.
Mom and Dad have a new grandbaby, so I guess that makes me her uncle...I think she’s neat! She’s my baby too!
Mom and Dad say I’m a goofball...I come up with all kinds of hair-brained ideas and they say I sound like a monkey when I talk...I love to make them laugh!
Mom says she’ll bring me by your house soon so I can give you a hug!
Love,
Jamie
